The most beautiful backpack I have ever owned. Foxglove is the type of pink I love: not bright or discordant but neutral and rich, leaning slightly towards purple. The leather feels velvety soft. I did treat it thoroughly with Apple Garde spray before use to keep this more delicate brushed leather protected from stains or rough wear. I have a Sidekick in Succulent (same leather but green) that I didn’t treat and the corners are already a little worn just from carrying it in a tote for a couple weeks. The backpack straps could be a little shorter for me (5’2” 170lbs) but I’m sure they are this long with sizing holes all the way to the end to be inclusive for bodies of all sizes, which I do appreciate.

This backpack is incredible! I was wearing crossbody bags, but really wanted a backpack to evenly distribute weight. I searched for months, wanting a simple design that wasn't too big or too small and one that wasn't bulky that would lay flat on my back. Then I happened to come across Portland Leather. The minute I saw the tote backpack I knew it was the one! I'm not a leather girl, so I was a little worried it might be heavy, but to my surprise it's not and is very comfortable to wear. The craftsmanship is outstanding and the bag is truly gorgeous. I chose Coldbrew, and although in my pics the sunlight picks up slight red tones, it's a beautiful neutral rich brown. I can see why this bag is so popular. If you're on the fence, don't hesitate. You won't regret buying this backpack. I'm already considering another one in cognac.😉

The tote backpack was one of the last bags I purchased and I’ve realized I prefer it to all of the crossbody bags (and the triangle for a smaller bag). It’s just the perfect size for what I carry and I can squeeze a 30 oz yeti into it if I had to. It’s comfortable to carry on one or both shoulders for me. I have it in satsuma and now plum. Cold brew or nutmeg next :)

Before the Small Tote Backpack came out, I used the Classic (medium-sized) one to carry my Surface Pro and other laptop essentials. The Classic Backpack tote is perfect for that, but a bit too much for an everyday carry. The Small Backpack Tote is perfect for an everyday carry. It can be comfortably worn as a backpack, carried on one shoulder, and it has a top grab-handle. The front pocket is very useful. It comes in gorgeous colors. It is my new favorite PLG bag.
I’ve been using the mini tote backpack for the last two weeks, and it really gets the job done! I’ve used it as a purse on the weekends for errands, and as my work bag during the week when I don’t have a lot to take with me. It comfortably holds a 20oz Yeti, my iPad Mini 4, a taco, a sidekick, my keys, a mini envelope, and sometimes a snack or two (and zips with a little room to spare). It’s almost exactly the same size as a mini crossbody. The coldbrew is a lovely color, too!
LOVE this bag! The zippers zip like butter. It’s so beautiful!!
