When a Makeup Bag ISN'T a Makeup Bag!

So, last week was my 5th wedding anniversary, and my husband and I decided to go out to an upscale restaurant to celebrate. I realized I'd need a nice clutch-type purse to go with my outfit, so of course I did what anyone would do: start browsing the PLG website for ideas! 😉 I saw the Total Eclipse Makeup bag, and realized I liked the look of it more than anything else, and it's absolutely STUNNING in Deepwater Blue. Even better? My bifold wallet fits comfortably inside, as well! So, if you need a bag that can pull double duty, look no further than the eclipse bag!

I purchased classic large coldbrew tote, clutch wallet and eclipse makeup bag both in grizzly. I like them all, they are very well made and good quality, lovely colours. Great size tote, suitable for work or daily wear. I do love the smell of new leather goods but I must admit these items had very strong dye smell, this is the only criticism I have which may put off some customers. Great customer service, thanks to Violet and Joey for their help when I had an enquiry or question. If you are not already part of it you may wish to check out Portland Leather Groupies- PLG Facebook page. An amazing page, very well managed and lots of interaction. You would have a chance to see many "in real life pictures" of PLG products. The Eclipse Makeup Bag is a great way to wrangle smaller things when I carry a tote. I’m insanely in love with the Baja color and pebbled texture not to mention the scent of the leather. I got this for my daughter so she could have a good, long lasting, classy, pencil and art supply bag! She is an art student and is always sketching something! It checked off all the criteria and more! But that said when it arrived I had serious thoughts about keeping it for myself because it's too pretty to use for pencils! We will have to see who's name is on the gift when Christmas comes! Mine or hers!🤣

I was looking for something that could hold my cables and chargers for travel and Miss Cosmo Total Eclipse certainly fits the bill! She's a gorgeous shade of pink with beautiful small pebbles and enough structure to stand up on her own. She's the perfect size for what I need!

The plum eclipse is so soft and squishy. It's perfect for holding feminine products and makeup. My one gripe with PLG bags is the lack of organization (pockets) but these littles help keep things organized in my totes.

This is my favorite travel bag to carry makeup in. It has a firm bottom that allows it to stand up rather than collapsing down, so I’m able to clearly see what’s in it and easily find what I’m looking for. Then I can just zip it up and transport it to the next location. I can’t stand rooting around in bags with everything shifting around, and this bag has addressed that issue for me. I pair with a sidekick pouch for my makeup brushes.

I recently purchased a total eclipse in candy to go with my candy tote. Beyond loving the color and my fondness for pebbled leather what can I say other than one is not enough. I have lost count of how many I have, in both sizes and various colors, because they organize everything. It looks so much better to pull out a leather accessory when fumbling for a pen or lipstick but they are truly indispensable and such an affordable treat when you just need a PLG fix. Warning, once you start, you can’t stop because the beauty, quality and utility go way beyond makeup. I am an artist, with all the various “stuff,” work outdoors a lot and travel around for inspiration. Nothing beats an eclipse or two or three to throw in a tote and ready to go when the mood strikes. Go for it, you won’t be sorry but remember you have been warned.
