Why do you use leather with prominent character marks in the first place?
We only qualify Almost Perfect in terms of cosmetic irregularities that have absolutely no impact on the quality or durability of our products. Rather, we figured that it'd be a shame to waste such beautiful and functional leather, so we decided to sell it at a discounted price.
What type of imperfection will I get with this bag?
Each of our Almost Perfect bags is one of a kind! While we can't say for sure which one you'll receive, some common character marks our customers find are pebbling and color variation, scars and striations, or a stitch out of place. That being said, rest assured that none of these "imperfections" will impact the functionality of the bag in any way!

Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

The small tote backpack in shadow lime is a fun spring color. It has small even pebbles and medium firmness. The front zippered pocket is about an inch too short to fully hold my phone. I keep my keys in it. The small canvas organizer fits inside to make up for the lack of an inside pocket. It holds my essentials and a small tablet.

This is my first small tote backpack and I’m in love!😍 the color is planetary. It’s Devine, as is the leather itself. Perfectly pebbled. Soft, but just the right amount of structure.
I can’t even explain how surprised I am by how much I love this bag. I own a whole huge walk-in closet full of Portland Leather Goods bags. I switched to this one when I got it and I just kind of can’t switch over to another right now because I love it so much and I get so many compliments the color is beautiful planetary but this little tote backpack is for throwing on your shoulder and easy to carry. I love it. I would like another color, but this color is too perfect.
I’m more excited about this bag than I’ve been in a long time! The new Cabernet is just gorgeous 🍷
I love this backpack! I have several and first used it for traveling. The large holds a lot. Tablet, a few pouches, snacks, and frees up your hands. I wish I had this when my kids were young!
