Our Full-Grain Leather
Our oil tanned leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Our full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable available, and the unique texture and natural imperfections from the cow’s life have not been sanded, cut or shaved off. Full-grain is SIX times stronger than Buffed, Upholstery or Genuine leather.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

Perfect Wallet

I've been trying to downsize my wallet for years. I don't need to carry every card I have with me at all times but I do need to carry a few all the time. This wallet is perfect. Having a place for coins is helpful and everything is fully contained. I thought I might have some trouble geting some of the cards in and out with the wrap around zipper, but I haven't had any issues. This is an Almost Perfect wallet but I couldn't tell you why. And the plum color is gorgeous.

Something about this feels so good in my hand, and if I wanted to slip a small lip gloss in there and make this the only thing I use to grab and go, it can work for that, too. Of course I prefer to put it in a beautiful PLG bag 😊 but in theory, I could slip this little beauty into a pocket and be good to go.

Perfect size for smaller bags

I was looking for a small wallet that still had quite a bit of capacity to use with smaller purses when going to events. I bought the small zip wallet at the same time as the small camera bag and it fit perfectly while still giving me plenty of wallet capacity and room in the purse for other essentials. My favorite color is purple so the plum was perfect. It looks a bit more red-purple in direct sunlight but dark purple in low lighting. I ordered this as Almost Perfect since I figured it was likely to get beat up being thrown into different purses and passing through purse zippers frequently. The only thing I could think would make it "almost" perfect was a small indentation on the back lower edge (shown in picture), which didn't bother me since that type of thing could happen after regular use in a purse anyway. I love the number of card slots and the zippered coin pocket. I was worried about it opening enough to get things in and out, which wasn't an issue at all especially with how soft the pebbled plum is.

I have always carried a long, zipped wallet, but times are changing and I typically only need a few cards at most now that cards can be stored on a phone. The small zip is perfection🥰 Big enough to not forget on a table, but small enough for the important elements or to slip in a pocket. The fact that they match their bags, which I now own 4 of (seasons) really makes them stand out. People frequently stop to ask me about theses accessories. The leather is taking on a nice patina.

I have SEVERAL bags & wallets from Portland Leather Goods but I had never given the Almost Perfect section a try. I was pleasantly surprised & I swear I don't see what isn't absolutely perfect about this wallet. The quality is outstanding, as always, & I get compliments on my PLG accessories every time I wear them out (so... every day). Every time they drop a new style I have to put it in my shopping cart.
