Our durable leather goods are unlined, featuring the natural suede side of the hide. Since fabric-lined bags inevitably discolor and tear with use, we chose to showcase the soft sueded underside of our hides, ensuring that your bag lasts a lifetime.

This kind of leather will never look flawless, as it hasn't been covered in any kind of plastic coating. Don’t worry about keeping the tote perfect - the best part about 100% full-grain leather is that it just gets better with age.
UNLINED AND OPEN INTERIOR: Our Tote Bags are unlined, featuring the natural suede underside of the leather on the inside. We use full-grain, oil-tanned leather that is incredibly durable and water tight – it's the same quality of leather that is used in making boots, saddles, and all manner of made-to-last, all-weather leather goods!

This is my first PLG purchase, and I am simply stunned by the thickness, quality, color, and smell of the leather - pictures don't do it justice!! This is the small zippered tote in honey. I am a tiny individual (4'11" with short little t-rex arms lol) and I'm usually not a tote person because I find them to be oversized on me. But the small is perfect for me! I love how PLG offers so many different sizes!!! I took some photos with the tote in case it helps my fellow shorties out there. :)

Cognac Large Tote

In case you’re like me, looking at reviews to help make the “right purchase”, here it is. I ordered the Large Tote in Cognac with a zipper hoping for the perfect work bag that could be versatile. The large fits a 13in Mac with LOTS of space around it (I tested my husbands 15in Mac it fits, but won’t zip), a hardcover journal or two, a hydro flask (all sizes- sometimes two, one for water and one for coffee), snack, and electronics bag, plus wallet. My favorite feature is the key hook!! Overall, I’m definitely satisfied with my newest PLG bag, worth the purchase!
Lava is amazing

I got the OS tote with a zipper in Lava. Let me tell you, as pretty as you might think Lava is in the pictures, it's even prettier in person. I can tell this bag is going to age well. The OS tote holds my 16" MBP laptop (something I've been searching for for a long time), PLUS everything else I could need for a day away (for scale, in the interior image, the purse is a mini crossbody and what I believe an eclipse makeup bag). This leather is not slouchy but it isn't so stiff it feels plastic. I can see this will be a good travel bag. The handle drop is the perfect length for over the shoulder and (as a taller person), holding in my hands and not skimming the ground. As much as I love this bag, it's not an every day bag and probably isn't for everyone. I'm tall so the size is fine, but I could see it overwhelming someone shorter or petite. The handles are stiff and the edges could use a slight bevel. I'm hoping they will round out a little as I use the bag. And its a lot of leather which means this bag isn't light even before adding my laptop, purse and water bottle. While I will use it as I travel, it will not be an out-and-about sightseeing bag; it will be my to the airport to the hotel to the airport bag.

I got the Medium Zippered Leather Tote in Coldbrew to use as my carry-on personal item, and also purchased the Parker Phone bag so I can easily access my phone, passport, and credit card while at the airport. Since airlines only allow one personal item, it'll be easy to consolidate the Parker into the Tote when boarding.
The almost perfect tote is perfect. I love this bag. It is a great size for my work gear and with the added zipper everything is secure. Not to mention that I receive compliments all the time.
I saw a large Grace in Westward Blue at a PLG Meet Up in Harrisburg, PA before Christmas. I was thinking that it would be amazing in a tote; a larger bag to showcase the beautiful light and dark tones that swirl through the leather. Low and behold she showed up on the site, a small Zip tote in Westward Blue with Tandles! I'm a Tandles girl and jumped! She's gorgeous! 💙😊💙
I find the med to be the perfect size for an every day carry for me. Plenty of room for everything I need without being too big. Very similar in size to the Med Crossbody. I love the Astro color, a beautiful bright blue, mine came with blandles (black handles).
