I haven’t quite found a use for this little cutie yet, but it is definitely a fun way to see a new leather in person (and potentially win a gift card, apparently!). I have seen a tutorial showing how to cut the rivet that forms the fortune cookie shape and turn it into a cute little flat pouch, which honestly looks more useful (less bulky) to me… I may try that at some point, or I may keep it as is and use it to carry items I only need with me temporarily, like cough drops or something. In the meantime, it is adorable!
I wasn’t attracted to these items at first, but ordered three so I could get a better picture of the leather in different colors. My mission was to decide which color I wanted in a new bag. Well, when they arrived I was so taken by these little items that I even ordered more!! I’m impressed with the size and love the pops of color for inside my bags. (BTW, dragon bone won the color pick for my bag! I completely fell in love with that color and can’t wait to get a bag in DB!). The fact that some of these cookies have a hidden golden ticket is such a bonus!
I love this in Dragon Bone! I actually keep it on my desk for work (I work from home) and feel it when I need a short reset. It could fit my AirPods inside, as long as there was no case. Would be a cool coin pouch, too. Here it’s also pictured tucked inside my Bella Makeup Bag in Amethyst, along with some highlighters and sticky notes.
The Fortune Cookies are my favorite small item from Portland and DRAGON BONE is a gorgeous neutral. I modify my Fortune Cookies and give them a flat bottom. 😊
