This is my favorite bag so far! It’s a perfect size and looks adorable! I have a feeling I’ll be buying this one in another color eventually.
I've always wanted a bucket style bag ever since they started to become popular. Once I found the bucket backpack, I needed to have it! I got the Lava color and have to say that she is almost everything I've wanted in a bucket backpack. The only con to this is that if you're a commuter and love to stuff your bags and backpacks with books and other pouches and things, this may be a little bit of a problem since you can't fit large, hard cover books in it. I'm talking anything 9.5 x 6.25 in. and over. Anything less then these measurements will probably fit and if it's paperback, even better! For those of you who use kindles and other devices to read, you have no problems. So, if you want to carry a book or anything else that is book-like, to keep in mind that it has to be small like a pocket size journal, something of that nature. Currently in mine I have an eclipse makeup pouch, the wedge slice looking pouch that can be found in the mystery boxes, the leather glasses case that also sometimes come in mystery boxes, a pocket size leather companion/journal, a similar size zip wallet and my smaller snap card and cash wallet which I keep in the smaller compartment towards the back of the bag. All of that pretty much fills her up and during that time of the month (ladies you know what I mean) I can fit a pouch with my cloth feminine products if it sits flat on top over everything. That's it! So, Portland Leather, what am I suggesting to you? To maybe give us a larger and taller option for those of us who want/need to carry more stuff. I saw that the regular bucket bag has a small and large option, I think including a large and taller option for this bag may also be beneficial. But in the meantime, it suites my current needs and I don't plan to change her unless we see the larger version debut :)
I never would have picked this style or color for myself. My amazing husband ordered it for me and it is absolutely my favorite PLG bag! The lava leather is forgiving and changes color so beautifully. The bucket style is a classic look and so easy to use. If I’m being extra picky, I’d say I wish it was 1 inch taller to accommodate my iPad Pro. I usually take my iPad everywhere but honestly, I haven’t missed it. I would love to have this style in Bacalar.
If you find the small bucket bag too small, and the regular bucket bag too big, you'll be happy with the backpack bucket. She's right in between the other two in size and gives you an even better hands-free option - no swinging her out of the way. The drawstring does get easier over time, so don't let it dissuade you! Plum is the perfect squishy/firm compromise and so gorgeous. A color that also plays nice as a neutral.
LOVE THIS BAG! It’s the perfect size for everything I need with plenty of room to spare! I actually use that little pocket on the top that I put a picture of for my phone, (it’s an iPhone 13 Pro Max) because when you flip it over to close it, your phone is safely in that pocket. 👍🏼
