Our Full-Grain Leather
Our oil tanned leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Our full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable available, and the unique texture and natural imperfections from the cow’s life have not been sanded, cut or shaved off. Full-grain is SIX times stronger than Buffed, Upholstery or Genuine leather.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

I purchased this bag in honey. I’ve had her 2 weeks. I prefer the pebbled bags, but decided to take a chance on the honey. I’m so glad I took a chance. I absolutely love it!! I was told to carry everyday and love her. And it will patina beautifully. I stuff her with an eclipse, wallet, phone, keys, taco keychain, water bottles, sunglasses, and a taco. The honey doesn’t scratch easily like I thought. She’s BEAUTIFUL!!!

I love my crossbody tote in the color honey. The quality is exceptional and the leather smells divine. It is quite spacious without being too oversized. I am 5’6” slender build. I use it as a work bag for my wallet, iPad, and planner supplies. With all that, it still has space for a sweater and snacks. I am very pleased with my purchase. I ordered the AP version and thought it looked amazing. I have used it daily for the past week and will definitely purchase more from Portland Leather.

The quality of this bag is amazing. It is nice and sturdy which I wanted for my work bag so that when I set it down it doesn’t fall over. In my bag I can fit a 1inch thick textbook, several small reference guide books, 40 oz water bottle, phone, keys, wallet, small zip pouch, pair of dress flats. It’s pretty full with that but I’m using it to walk into and out of work- I don’t carry it around all day. The only downside is that the color doesn’t really match what I expected for ‘honey’ based on the website. However, if I was that disappointed I could return. I won’t because I love it! No blemishes that I could see.

I have had this tote for 5 years and still going strong! I use this for long periods at a time and it only gets prettier with time
My first official PLG tote that I’ve chosen. I’m in the with the classic honey 🍯 color. The tote is super roomy and I can fit my laptop and notebook with plenty of room for all my other goodies.
The inner pocket is perfect to hold my modern passport cover that I use as a wallet/travel journal. The drop handles are comfortable being a mid-sized girlie and are quite roomie which can be a challenge and I love having the option of using the crossbody when needed too.
I contemplated getting it zippered but was concerned about the opening feeling too constricted. I do wish that it had a snap (or two) like the mini crossbody.

I already had a cognac FSCB so I knew the size would be perfect for my laptop and everything I needed for the day, but the softness of nutmeg can’t be beat. It was exactly what I was looking for, I love the length of the handles on this bag so I can also carry on my shoulder if I don’t want to use the longer strap.
