Our durable leather goods are unlined, featuring the natural suede side of the hide. Since fabric-lined bags inevitably discolor and tear with use, we chose to showcase the soft sueded underside of our hides, ensuring that your bag lasts a lifetime.
SMALL: Great for those that travel light on the daily – it can fit a water bottle, snacks, book, wallet, and sunglasses comfortably. Measures 11” wide across the bottom, 13” wide across the top, 4.5” deep and 11.5” tall.
MEDIUM: Can fit a water bottle, snacks, a book, wallet, sunglasses and a 13” Macbook snugly. Measured 11.5” wide across the bottom, 15” wide across the top, 5.5” deep, and 12” tall.
LARGE: Fits a water bottle, snacks, book, wallet, sunglasses, back-up shirt, and a 15” Macbook snugly. Measures 13” wide across the bottom, 18” wide across the top, 6” deep, and 12” tall.
OVERSIZED: Fits all that plus a pair of jeans and a larger laptop comfortably. Measures 14” wide across the bottom, 21” wide across the top, 6” deep, and 13” tall.
The drop length for all of our handles is 10.5” regardless of the size of the tote, and suits most!
All measurements are approximations due to inherent variations in handmade leather items.
INSIDE & OUTSIDE POCKET: All totes have an inside pocket that measures approximately 6” x 8” – great for a smartphone and some lip balm, as well as an outside pocket for easy storage.
KEY LOOP: A standard feature of all totes – no more digging around for your keys!
FULL-GRAIN LEATHER: Our leather is the highest quality full-grain chap and English bridle leather available. We only use US hides and since American leather is a byproduct of the beef industry, we like to think that we're helping to minimize waste by using hides that may otherwise be wasted. This kind of leather will never look flawless, as it hasn't been covered in any kind of plastic coating. Don’t worry about keeping the tote perfect - the best part about 100% full-grain leather is that it just gets better with age.
UNLINED AND OPEN INTERIOR: Our Tote Bags are unlined, featuring the natural suede underside of the leather on the inside. We use full-grain, oil-tanned leather that is incredibly durable and water tight – it's the same quality of leather that is used in making boots, saddles, and all manner of made-to-last, all-weather leather goods!
In order to keep up with production, we are not able to offer customizations on our designs – sorry about that! We think you’ll love our items as they are!

This is my first PLG purchase, and I am simply stunned by the thickness, quality, color, and smell of the leather - pictures don't do it justice!! This is the small zippered tote in honey. I am a tiny individual (4'11" with short little t-rex arms lol) and I'm usually not a tote person because I find them to be oversized on me. But the small is perfect for me! I love how PLG offers so many different sizes!!! I took some photos with the tote in case it helps my fellow shorties out there. :)

In case you’re like me, looking at reviews to help make the “right purchase”, here it is. I ordered the Large Tote in Cognac with a zipper hoping for the perfect work bag that could be versatile. The large fits a 13in Mac with LOTS of space around it (I tested my husbands 15in Mac it fits, but won’t zip), a hardcover journal or two, a hydro flask (all sizes- sometimes two, one for water and one for coffee), snack, and electronics bag, plus wallet. My favorite feature is the key hook!! Overall, I’m definitely satisfied with my newest PLG bag, worth the purchase!
Lava is amazing

I got the OS tote with a zipper in Lava. Let me tell you, as pretty as you might think Lava is in the pictures, it's even prettier in person. I can tell this bag is going to age well. The OS tote holds my 16" MBP laptop (something I've been searching for for a long time), PLUS everything else I could need for a day away (for scale, in the interior image, the purse is a mini crossbody and what I believe an eclipse makeup bag). This leather is not slouchy but it isn't so stiff it feels plastic. I can see this will be a good travel bag. The handle drop is the perfect length for over the shoulder and (as a taller person), holding in my hands and not skimming the ground. As much as I love this bag, it's not an every day bag and probably isn't for everyone. I'm tall so the size is fine, but I could see it overwhelming someone shorter or petite. The handles are stiff and the edges could use a slight bevel. I'm hoping they will round out a little as I use the bag. And its a lot of leather which means this bag isn't light even before adding my laptop, purse and water bottle. While I will use it as I travel, it will not be an out-and-about sightseeing bag; it will be my to the airport to the hotel to the airport bag.

I bought this to be my everyday purse. It's the perfect size and shape to carry all my usual stuff as well as any extras that they day might bring. Classic black goes with everything! Couldn't be happier.

The straps are a little rough, but should break in with time and use. Perfect size for my work bag though.
My large lava tote is awesome. Plenty of room but still light. Lava is gorgeous. Good with brown or black. Now my daughters want one!
Carries my laptop in a thick protective towel sleeve, an Ipad, passport, phone, wallet. Made a braided chord attached to one of the handles to secure onto my rolling bad handle. Sturdy, strong.
I got the zippered medium tote. I was on the fence of getting a large- worried that the medium wouldn’t fit my 13” laptop (with sleeve) 40 oz water bottle, snacks, and moleskine notebook, but alas it did! In other forms of measure- I was able to fit the following in the bag AND still have it zip closed: x2 Nalgene water bottles (32oz each), x1 Pyrex snap ware (round 4 cup size), x1 large moleskine notebook (5 x 8.5 inches), x1 pen, a small bag of snacks (x2 protein bars and a handful of candy), a Kate spade keychain wallet, and car keys with hand sanitizer keychain.
Some reviews mentioned puckering in the bottom seams of the bag corners- this promptly filled-out and formed to the normal tote-bag-shape after the first few uses.
It’s a great sturdy bag and the handles can withstand the weight of above mentioned items. I think the zipper adds a more polished look and prevents things from falling out as it sits on the passenger seat of my car while I drive.
This tote is so perfect and I love the Lagoon color!
