Our Full-Grain Leather
Our oil tanned leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Our full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable available, and the unique texture and natural imperfections from the cow’s life have not been sanded, cut or shaved off. Full-grain is SIX times stronger than Buffed, Upholstery or Genuine leather.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

Thought about this bag for a while. Seemed to purchase everything but this one. She's last but NOT least (and who are we kidding?---probably NOT the last either!). This Market Tote exceeded my expectations, as I didn't think I could like a bag more than my Classic Med. Tote. Took a chance on this after all the hype by other owners. TOTALLY worth it. It is roomy, streamlined and classy---fits all my essentials with room to spare AND I don't look like I'm carrying a suitcase! I chose Dakota---awesome color for this one. Don't overthink---just buy. My first purse from PLG was a mini crossbody and I really loved it but it was a little bit small for the day to day needs. I like the weight of it but I live in Florida and I always carry a water bottle. So months if not years later, I finally purchased the honey market tote. This is a sturdy bag and one that I love both by design and functionality. It has a great shape with a large outside pocket and large inside pocket. Obviously, the interior is very roomy. I don’t really carry a lot, but I wanted a tote because some days I carry my lunch, a water bottle, umbrella, shawl, and if I go shopping, I put my purchases also in the bag. so with all that going on, I still am only caring one bag. Hooray!

Such a beautiful color, couldn’t believe when I saw Storm available. This is my first brushed leather from PLG, and I will admit I’m a little nervous to see how well it holds up. Would love to see this bag be a little bit more structured, maybe with a finished edge at the bag top, and also for the hardware to a bit sturdier. It seems a bit delicate and small for the size of the bag. I do like the pockets inside and out. Hope to get lots of use from it.
Market totes

I tried 2 market totes. I am happy with the quality of all the almost perfect items I have bought. The first market tote I tried was smooth black. It is structured and holds its shape, empty or full. It feels good on the shoulder and in hand. It was a little large for me personally but I like the features of the market tote like the rings, lighter weight, and softer handles. So I also tried cold brew, thinking the softer pebbled leather might slouch and seem a little smaller overall. It did. Depending on the leather, the shape of the bag changes entirely. Interestingly, the handle drop on my cold brew is much longer than the black- around 13 inch drop length, which is longer than the description says. Another difference between the two is that the cold brew had a much more noticeable leather smell whereas the black didn’t have much smell. I like the feel and functionality of the market totes, unfortunately, they are just slightly big for my daily use. Please consider making a “mini” or smaller version of the market tote!

My favorite PLG bag! Very close to perfect!
Love the handles, just the right size for shoulder or arm carry, and they fold down very nicely. Stands up on its own with the seamless bottom. Packs well with littles or organizer, can hold a water bottle too. Love the rings for attaching flair/bling. Will need to buy another market tote before they disappear!

The Market Tote is the best tote bag I've ever owned. Perfect size (I'm 5'4 and most tote bags look way too big on me), the handle drop is just right, and the straps stay on your shoulder! I want to buy another one with the pebbled leather but can't find one anywhere. Please, please don't discontinue this bag.
Beautiful bag!! Cowboy Blue is just beautiful! Plenty of room in this perfect Market Tote. Would love to purchase in more colors, and am so sad it is being discontinued! Perfect strap length and I can’t wait to use her!
