Our Full-Grain Leather
Our oil tanned leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Our full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable available, and the unique texture and natural imperfections from the cow’s life have not been sanded, cut or shaved off. Full-grain is SIX times stronger than Buffed, Upholstery or Genuine leather.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

The shades of blue and the feel of the leather really capture the essence of AQUA. Makes me think about scuba diving in the Caribbean. Love this bag! I bought it purposely for an upcoming trip with my kids. It is super convenient to be hands-free and it is quite comfortable and durable, not to mention beautiful. The only AP thing about it I can find is possibly some uneven pebbles throughout, but it gives it a unique character.

The tote backpack was my first PLG purchase a few years ago in Coldbrew and it has been my favorite until now! However, Baja and all her pebbly squishy-ness is my new favorite! Can fit wallet, sunglasses, water bottle, book, etc - all the things! Baja seems to be a lighter weight leather than my coldbrew, which is nice when I have it packed full. I love being handsfree and prefer the backpack to a crossbody. Also love the lighter color so that my littles don't seem to get lost in the dark interior of the coldbrew. I originally intended to use it for summer with the bright, fun color, but it makes me happy so I'm using it all the time! :)
The quality of the leather is amazing. It smells so good. I love that they offer so many different colors; colors that you don't normally get in this quality of leather. It's definitely my new favorite purse. I've gotten tons of compliments on it. Now I just need to order the matching wallet.
This is my first Portland (loved my daughter’s Market Tote!) and hard deciding on the Crossbody Tote or the Backpack. I chose the Backpack in pebble black and love it!!
