The Leather
Our U.S.-sourced oil tanned leather is incredibly easy to care for. With time and use, the natural oils in the leather will rise to the surface, developing a beautiful patina and smoothing any scuffs or scratches that may have accumulated. Learn more about caring for your new leather product.
Our full-grain leather is the strongest and most durable available, and the unique texture and natural imperfections from the cow’s life have not been sanded, cut or shaved off. Full-grain is SIX times stronger than Buffed, Upholstery or Genuine leather.
Please note that our pebbled leather, like all of our leather, is a natural product. You may notice changes in grain or texture throughout your bag. Other companies artificially press a pebble texture into their leather. However, the pebbling of our leather is achieved naturally through an extra tumbling process which leaves some areas of the hide smoother than others.

This was my first Raindrop purchase, and it certainly won’t be my last. This cucumber cutie has quickly become my favorite bag. I love the size and the color for quick outings and for when I want to add a little something special to my outfit. I usually take the crossbody strap off as I prefer the handles. I have gotten so many compliments and am already thinking about adding another to my growing collection!
This is my first raindrop and my first honey purchase and I am very pleased with both. The Raindrop is such a versatile bag that can be dressed up or down so easily. The long strap is helpful when needed, but I love having the option to remove for a more fun and fancy look. Honey is a great color for this bag too – truly a look for every season. I am usually a tote girl so definitely had to pare down for a more petite carry, but this purse is great for nights out or when you don’t need all the things.
I bought the raindrop and rainstorm as matching mommy and me purses for my daughter and I. She loves it and it is the perfect size for her as she generally does need to carry a ton with her. This size is ideal if you don't carry a lot with you on a daily basis or need a cute night out purse.
This bag is everything I hoped it would be. I need walking sticks, and this bag is just right as a crossbody bag. It fits snug to my side and isn’t in the way. Not to mention how lovely and well made it is. I got it in Plum, and love this color. It’s a bit darker than I imagined it would be but is beautiful nonetheless. I’m so thankful I somehow found Portland Leather!
My first personal purchase and it's perfect. The bag can be used cross body or with handles. The color is a perfect neutral pink. It packs easily and is not heavy. Love the gold hardware too. It was perfect for walking around Puglian towns.
